Five different players found the back of the net in a 5-0 SBCC men's soccer victory at Moorpark on Friday.

Santa Barbara improves to 6-2-4 overall and earns its first conference win to move to 1-1 in the WSC. Moorpark is now 0-10-2 overall and 0-2 in conference.

Gino Contreras, Jahir Valdez, Dylan Rogers and Josep Wouters scored in the first half and Liam Wilder tacked on a second half goal for SBCC.

This was SBCC's third win in four outings during the month of October, all of which have been won by at least four goals. It was also the Vaqueros' fourth shutout in five games, thanks to Danial Baradaran's six saves.

SBCC WOMEN'S SOCCER WINS

The SBCC women's soccer team picked up a 3-0 win at Moorpark  for its fifth victory in its last six outings.

The Vaqueros are now on a seven-game unbeaten streak, improving to 7-1-5 overall and 5-0-1 in the WSC this season. Moorpark falls to 3-6-5 overall, 2-3 conference.

The Vaqueros finished with a 15-4 edge in shots and 9-2 in shots on goal.

The sophomore forwards linked up in the 16th minute, as Theresa English set up Aly Springer for the game's opening goal. Twenty minutes later, Hannah McLain assisted on a Madison Dodson goal to double SBCC's lead.

Sofia Orozco put in her seventh goal in six games in the 66th minute to finish things off.

SBCC WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL SWEEPS

The No. 14 SBCC women's volleyball team swept L.A. Pierce, 25-13, 25-19, 25-12.

The Vaqueros (10-8, 4-1) were led once again by sophomore opposite Caroline McCartywith team-highs of 12 kills and two blocks.

Freshmen Ava Guenther and Heidi Collins finished with nine kills each. Setters Mikayla Butzke and Emma Crabbe set up the offense to the tune of 20 and 17 assists, respectively.

Crabbe also had a match-high four aces, as did defensive specialist Gabby Russell. Libero Jacelin McKie led the defense with eight digs.
