OPPO’s Digital Car Keys Adapted to Niu and Segway-Ninebot E-Bikes – Pandaily

Chinese consumer electronics firm OPPO announced on Monday that its digital car key service has been upgraded and is now fully compatible with the entire line of Segway-Ninebot electric bikes.

The company says the OPPO Reno8 smartphone series and many other models, as well as the OPPO Watch, are available for a keyless unlocking experience with the Segway-Ninebot e-bikes. Meanwhile, OPPO’s digital keys have also begun to support unlocking the MQi2s series of e-bikes from Niu Technologies.

OPPO’s digital car key feature is already applicable to many automotive products, including Tesla’s Model 3 and Model Y, XPeng Motors and so on.

Car owners with the corresponding OPPO models can quickly add a digital car key in the “wallet” app in their cell phones. Once set up, the car will automatically unlock upon approaching the car with the designated OPPO phone, and will automatically lock after leaving the car, with no need for a physical car key.

OPPO’s digital car keys are suitable for the Find N model, Find X5 series, Find X3 series, Reno8 series, Reno7 series, Reno6 series, Reno5 series, OPPO K9 and other mobile phones including the ColorOS 11.2 or later.

The digital car key function is a part of the OPPO Smart Travel program, which is a set of cross-terminal and full-scene system travel solutions launched by OPPO, with more than 80 cooperating firms, covering car manufacturers, two-wheeled electric vehicle manufacturers, tier-one manufacturers and travel service providers. It is expected that OPPO Smart Travel will be available in over 15 million vehicles by the end of 2022.
