Yes, Omicron and potentially future COVID-19 variants have put a wrench in return-to-office plans. But let’s be real, return-to-office plans as they’ve been coming together didn’t mean “everybody will always be in the office” anyway.
Bolstered by nearly two years of successful remote working, companies and law firms alike have seen the benefits of what a hybrid workforce can bring. And now that those new norms have been established, the questions now turn to implementation and long-term sustainability. Some of those questions consist of challenges to be overcome, like security and solidifying efficiency. But it also brings opportunities, such as differentiation in the labor market and more trust in legal operations teams.
